Most Excellent Past Grand High Priest (2022 – 2023)
Companion Charles R. Robertson was born in 1980 in Peoria, Illinois. He attended Illinois Central College in East Peoria, and Kendall College in Evanston.
He is married to Melody Robertson and their 17 year old daughter, Lauren, is currently serving as Honored Queen of Bethel #55 – Job’s Daughters in Pekin, 5th Messenger of Bethel #48 – Job’s Daughters in Joliet, and was elected Grand Bethel Senior Princess for Illinois Job’s Daughters. They currently reside in Pontiac, IL.
Worshipful Brother Robertson was raised to the sublime degree of Master Mason on June 19, 2002, at Frank N. Nicol Lodge No. 1170 AF&AM in Creve Coeur. WB Robertson served as Worshipful Master of his lodge in 2006, 2007, and 2020. In 2023 he became a plural member of Pontiac Lodge # 294 where he is currently serving as Marshal.
Companion Robertson was advanced to the degree of Mark Master on August 28, 2008, and exalted a Holy Royal Arch Mason on August 29, 2008 at Pekin Chapter No. 25 in Pekin. He served as the Excellent High Priest in 2010 and is the current secretary. He is a dual member of Admiration Chapter #282 in Homer. In 2014, Companion Robertson was appointed as District Deputy Grand High Priest. He obtained his 1st Level Ritual Certification in May of 2014. He was appointed Grand Master of the Second Veil in 2015 and was elected Grand Royal Arch Captain in July 2016. In July 2024, he was honored to be the first recipient of the Grand Chapter of Illinois’s Distinguished Service Award.
Companion Robertson was greeted as a Select Master in 2009 at Pekin Council No. 23 of Cryptic Masons in Pekin. He served as the Thrice Illustrious Master in 2011 and is the current recorder. In 2019, Companion Robertson was made a Knight of Ish Sodi and received the Grand Council Youth Leadership Award. SK Robertson was dubbed and created a Knight of the Valiant and Magnanimous Order of the Temple in 2008 at Blaney Commandery No. 5 in Tremont. He served as the Eminent Commander in 2012, recorder from 2013 – 2022, was elected Eminent Commander for 2023, and is now back as recorder of Blaney Commandery.
Companion Robertson joined Central Illinois York Rite College No. 42, currently serving as Chancellor; is a member of the Red Cross of Constantine, St. Helena Conclave currently serving as Eminent Viceroy; Past Sovereign Master of Illini Council No. 347 Allied Masonic Degrees, currently serving as secretary/treasurer; Earl of Torell Council No. 24 Knight Masons currently serving as Senior Warden; a member of Illinois Priory No. 11 KYCH; and a member of Holy Royal Arch Knight Templar Priests – Grand Preceptor’s Tabernacle A.
Brother Robertson, MSA was created a 32nd degree Scottish Rite Freemason and Sublime Prince of the Royal Secret in 2014 in the Valley of Peoria, Ancient Accepted Scottish Rite. He received his MSA in 2020. He was awarded the Scottish Rite Youth Leadership Award in July 2024. He was elected Most Wise Master of the Rose Croix line in May 2024, serves as the Co-Chairman of the Valley’s Membership Committee, and is Director of the Works for the Valley. Bro. Robertson was informed in August 2024 that he will be coronated an Honorary 33rd degree Mason in Indianapolis, IN in August 2025.
Prophet Robertson became a member of the The Mystic Order of Veiled Prophets of the Enchanted Realm (Grotto) at Abbas Grotto in October 2024.
Brother Robertson became a member of the Order of Eastern Star at Mystic Tie Chapter No. 245 in 2013. He is a Past Worthy Patron and currently serves as Treasurer of his chapter.
“Dad” Robertson serves as Chapter Chairman for Fides Chapter, Order of DeMolay in Peoria. In 2024 he was appointed Central Area Governor for Illinois DeMolay. He was also made a Deputy Member of the International Supreme Council in 2024. He received the Cross of Honor in 2016 and the Honorary Legion of Honor in 2017.
“Uncle” Charles serves as Associate Bethel Guardian for Bethel # 55 – Job’s Daughters in Pekin and was elected Grand Inner Guard of the Grand Guardian Council of Illinois in 2024. He received the Distinguished Order of Job’s Daughter Award in 2023.
A chef by trade with experience in fine dining and country club cuisine, Chef Charles started his teaching career in Culinary Arts at Illinois Central College in 2004. Chef Charles currently serves as Program Chair/Professor of the Culinary Arts Institute.
